History
Shamator District is the 16th district of the Indian state of Nagaland. It was created on 19th January 2022 and was officially inaugurated on 4th March 2022. Shamator District is bounded by Tuensang in the North, Noklak in the East, Kiphire in the South and Zunheboto in the West. There are 37 recognized villages and 4 unrecognized villages in the District.
The total area of Shamator is 469 Sq. Km
